As we come into Phase 2, and you resume your busy lives you may wonder what you can do for migrant workers.
If you don’t have time to volunteer or help in some other way, you can do something very simple. Something that costs no money, requires so special skill or effort and takes no additional time. When you see workers anywhere - be it at a construction site near you or at a traffic light or doing road works - smile and if you so choose, raise a hand in greeting or to show support or respect. And if their vehicle is navigating near you, try and give way or at least try not to honk loudly at them.
That little gesture, that fleeing exchange of solidarity will mean the world to them and leave you feeling great for the rest of the day.
